The Benefits of Holding Hands

I love seeing people that have been dating for awhile still holding hands. It seems to be something that goes away after dating for months or years and it absolutely shouldn’t. Holding hands can be quite beneficial to a relationship.

The simple act of holding hands allows the two people that are dating to share physical intimacy in some small way. Many people aren’t’ fans of kissing in public and most people won’t be on top of each other out of respect for those around them. The small act of holding hands can give you many different feelings- a jolt of happiness, comfort when you are feeling down and even the occasional feeling of arousal.

You feel closer when you hold hands. It’s sort of like putting a puzzle together. Consider your hands puzzle pieces. When you hold hands, it’s a small reminder that you two fit together perfectly and still do after all the time of dating. Slightly corny, but true.

Who knew that holding hands with your significant other could hold so many benefits?

Five Romantic (Inexpensive) Things A Man Can Do Today For His Significant Other

Published by laurenr under Romantic Gestures Edit This

If there’s anything that most women loves, it’s when her significant other goes out of his way to be romantic. It makes a woman feel more appreciated when she knows that she has someone willing to go out of his way for her when he doesn‘t have to. Now I can hear all the men groaning as they read this saying that they don’t want to or can’t afford to spend a ton of money. Here’s a great thing for you men- romantic surprises don’t necessarily mean that it’s going to cost you a fortune. Here are some romantic things that a man can do today for his significant other that is sure to put a smile on her face.

Clean the house- the entire house. Okay now don’t panic guys it’s a lot easier then you think and it doesn’t take as much time as you think either. On a day when you’re going to be home and she’s not ( or even plan for someone to take her out for the day) get to cleaning. Here is the most simple way to do it quickly. Start by gathering all the laundry and throw it in the washer. Next, gather every type of clutter that you see and throw it in a big bag. Deal with that later and do the actual cleaning first. Next, run around and dust everything. For the bathroom, put the toilet bowl cleaner in and have it sit while you wash down the rest of the bathroom. After you do the toilet, move onto the kitchen. Wash down everything in the kitchen and straighten up the food in the cabinets. Take the vacuum out and vacuum the floors and even in the couches then wash down the bathroom and kitchen floors. Last but not least, put the finished laundry away and put the clutter away that you threw in a bag.

Give her a gift certificate for a massage or a manicure and pedicure. You can get a manicure and pedicure gift certificate or a massage gift certificate for $30 and under. It will give her time for herself and a little time to relax.

Make dinner even if you can’t cook. There’s nothing sexier then when a man tries to do something for his significant other even when he knows it may not turn out the best. He doesn’t care though, because it’s for HER and it‘s not about him. Go online and search easy recipes that you know your significant other would love to try that are simple to make. Some recipes can be completed in minimal steps and take under 20 minutes to make.

Surprise her with a picnic. Pick up some food (or make it yourself), grab a picnic basket, a blanket, some glasses and drinks and take her to a beautiful park.

Plan an entire day just for her. Consider planning some things that you know you’re going to hate doing, but you’re doing it because you know that she really wants to. Pick out several places to go, anything from places to eat or things to do. Don’t give her any clues as to where you’re going. It doesn’t have to be expensive either. You would be surprised how many places have cheap (or no) admittance charges.
